GTA 6 Cover Art Officially Revealed — Pre-Orders Now Live

·4 min read

Rockstar Games has surprised fans once again with an unexpected Grand Theft Auto VI update, officially revealing the game's cover art and confirming when pre-orders will go live.

Out of nowhere, following 408 silent days since Trailer 2 vanished into the void, Rockstar slipped out an update through social platforms - with just a tiny clip revealing the game's cover. Sharp listeners caught something else: a flicker of music that feels like Vice City reborn, drenched in gritty electric guitar licks. While most missed it at first glance, attentive eyes spotted clues hidden in plain sight during those few seconds.

On June 25th, Rockstar said people everywhere can start reserving Grand Theft Auto VI online and at certain stores. That day marks when digital shops and some physical locations begin offering the game ahead of release.

GTA 6 Official Cover Art

The newly unveiled GTA 6 cover places protagonists Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval front and center of the iconic grid design, a hallmark of the GTA series covers.

Above them, a helicopter hovers with a heavy gun fixed to its frame. Scenes wrap around the pair, each adding pieces to the world and ideas behind the game. Down on the road, a cop car speeds forward beneath a motorcyclist who soars through the air mid-trick.

Down below, the piece shows some characters seen before in Rockstar's past previews. Boobie Ike turns up here — known from Vice City, runs clubs, builds property empires, likely central to how things unfold. He stands out among the crowd.

Beneath that, Raul Bautista appears — once a skilled thief, now tangled in Lucia and Jason's path. With him come machines built for escape: a sleek car, then a boat meant for cutting waves fast. Lurking near the waterline, an alligator watches, cold-eyed, because nature here carries its own threats.

Taken as a whole, the cover art does an excellent job of highlighting the variety GTA VI promises to offer — from high-speed chases and armed confrontations in the city to exploration across the wider state of Leonida.

New Website Artwork and Background Video

Rockstar has also updated the official GTA VI website with a new promotional artwork featuring Lucia and Jason together, further emphasizing their partnership and central role in the story.

A fresh animated clip plays across the homepage, pulling you into Vice City through its glittering skyline at dusk. Lights rise along towering buildings as palm trees sway just beneath the frame. You see neon signs flicker above wet streets after rain. The camera glides slowly past glowing billboards and distant harbor lights. Colors shift from deep purples to electric pinks without warning. Movement feels smooth yet unpredictable, like a quiet moment caught off guard. This isn't just decoration — it sets a mood before you even click deeper.

For such a short clip, it still shows more of that glowing, neon-heavy world Rockstar's building for the latest game in the lineup. Not much time on screen, yet the mood shines through clearly.

Rockstar Embraces Full GTA VI Identity

Out there past the official site, the GTA VI promotion takes shape. A new look now lives on Rockstar's online pages — swapped in for the old design is a vibrant mix of pink and blue, pulled straight from Vice City's vibe. The change feels sudden, like flipping a switch mid-thought. Colors breathe life into what once felt static. Each profile wears the mood of the upcoming release, quietly aligning with its tone. Gone is the familiar logo setup; in its place, something bolder hums with energy. This shift isn't loud, yet it sticks. Visuals echo the city's pulse without saying a word. Updates roll through accounts one by one, subtle but clear. Style becomes message.

June 25th brings the start of pre-orders, while Rockstar pushes harder on ads — GTA VI's rollout now shifting into high gear.

Pre-orders are live now. The November 19 launch is 144 days away. We'll be here for every update between now and then.
